How the Community Score Works
The Cobu Community Score helps renters understand how active a community is — based on real, verified resident participation inside the Cobu platform.
It's designed to show what apartment listings and photos can't: how people actually show up where they live.
What the score reflects
The Community Score summarizes how residents engage with their community over time, using observable participation patterns inside Cobu.
It focuses on activity that happens naturally when residents connect with each other.
What goes into the score
The score is based on a small set of clear participation signals:
- Resident participation — how many residents take part in community activity
- Resident activity — how many residents are actively engaging
- Ongoing interaction — how often residents post and participate
- Community events — how frequently events happen
All inputs come from verified activity inside the Cobu platform — not reviews or surveys.
What the score does not reflect
- Pricing or affordability
- Location or neighborhood quality
- Property amenities or finishes
- Individual opinions or subjective reviews
The score is about community participation only.
Why some buildings don't have a score yet
Some communities are still early in their Cobu journey. Scores appear once there is enough activity to reflect real participation patterns.
Until then, community activity may be shown without a numerical score.
How renters should use this score
The Community Score is meant to be used alongside traditional apartment information like price, location, and availability.
It provides additional context about how a place feels to live — not a recommendation or ranking.
